Updates on current status

Everyone

It has been a year and a half since I returned to Japan from San Diego. KKR's MBO of Topcon has been completed, and I feel like we have finally reached a milestone in the business reforms we have been working on since 2017.

Well, the world is in a state of rush as we approach the end of the year, but I am writing to you today as a greeting and to introduce some of the new things I have been working on recently.

1. New office

We have set up an office in Room 619 on the 6th floor of the Imperial Hotel Main Building as a base of operations. We don't plan to hire many people, so it's a small, cozy office. We have a wine cellar, a refrigerator, a table that seats 10, and a microwave, and we also offer Imperial Hotel room service. Visitors are very welcome (especially after 5pm), so please contact us if you happen to be passing through the neighborhood.
(We respectfully decline any decorations such as flowers, as this is a matter of personal preference. Food and drink gifts for drinking parties are welcome!)

2. New business

My hobby has grown into a business, and I have established JAPANs Co., Ltd., which provides sophisticated, experiential tourism services for wealthy inbound tourists in Kyoto. Japanese customers are of course welcome, so if you're interested, please get in touch. Our CEO, Nishimura-kun, is a very interesting person who is a late bloomer.

3. New ways of thinking

Now that Topcon is finished, I somehow felt like "I don't need to work to earn money anymore." From now on, I would like to focus on "spending 100% of my money on what I want to do." I am very interested in regional development, supporting entrepreneurs, and passing on culture and the arts, so if you have any interesting ideas, please let me know.

I hope the new year will be a prosperous one for you, and that you have a wonderful end to the year.
